Jaceyl indho
maleh
love is blind
This saying reflects the circumstance where one is deeply in love with
someone, preventing them from recognizing any harm inflicted by the beloved due
to the emotional blindness caused by love. It is analogous to the situation of
women who endure abuse from their partners. These women harbor such intense
affection for their men that they overlook the fact that they are being
subjected to severe physical harm. In the past, within Somali society, men
would brutally mistreat their wives, and yet the women remained oblivious to
the abuse. Love has the tendency to highlight only the positive aspects, making
it challenging to perceive any negativity in those we love. Consequently, this
emotional blindness can lead us to deny or overlook the truth, such as in cases
where a spouse is unfaithful to their partner, but the blinded individual
adamantly refuses to acknowledge the reality of the situation.

Hadalkani waxa uu ka
turjumayaa duruufaha uu qofku si qoto dheer u jeclaado, isaga oo ka ilaalinaya
in uu garto dhibaato kasta oo uu gacalku u geysto indho la’aanta shucuureed ee
jacaylku keeno. Waxay la mid tahay xaaladda haweenka u adkeystay xadgudubyada
uga imaanaya lammaanahooda. Haweenkani waxay raggooda u hayaan kalgacal aad u
daran, taasoo keentay inay iska indhatiraan xaqiiqada ah in dhaawac jidheed oo
daran loo geysto. Waagii hore, bulshada Soomaaliyeed dhexdeeda, raggu waxay si
arxan darro ah ula dhaqmi jireen xaasaskooda, haddana dumarku way iska
indho-tireen xadgudubka. Jacaylku waxa uu leeyahay u janjeera in uu muujiyo oo
kaliya dhinacyada togan, taas oo ka dhigaysa mid adag in la dareemo wax diidmo
ah oo ku yimaada kuwa aan jecelnahay. Sidaa awgeed, indho la’aantan shucuurtu
waxay inoo horseedi kartaa in aynu inkirno ama iska indho-tirno xaqiiqada, sida
haddii ay dhacdo in lammaanuhu uu daacad ka noqdo lammaanahooda, laakiin qofka
indhoolaha ah ayaa si adag u diiday in uu garwaaqsado xaqiiqada jirta.
